So much is going on in the news right now, between swine flu, health care reform, cash for clunkers, etc. I am comforted by the thought that some things are relatively stable and under my control (or at least, sort of under my control). I can reduce my risk for swine flu by washing my hands and being aware of what I touch and not licking door knobs and stuff. New problem, with all this hand washing, my hands are getting dry and I need to constantly reapply hand lotion. Is ok, will buy more lotion. Health care reform, well...I think the term itself is wrong. It should be called "health coverage" or "health insurance" reform, because that is the biggest deal. I tend to think something needs to be done about how the system inherently works. Providers deserve the incentive to provide top-notch care, and in turn...patients will receive care they can put their trust in. How to translate that into reality? No idea. If/when I figure that out, I will post it in a hurry. :)
And the cash for clunkers deal, frankly I don't know gobs about it...I have a great car that I hope to have for 10 more years and live close enough to work that gas isn't really that big of an issue now. I can also ride my bike or scooter, so...it is kind of not really even affecting me. But hopefully someone will make out good with it. Heheh
If'n you want, check out the news page on my company website. Interesting articles about dry skin, protecting health providers, and technology! :)
Today is Tuesday. I am going to work hard, get some stuff done, and then go see a movie with my good friend KK. I think that sounds like a plan, don't you?
